Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority partners with many organizations in both the private and public sectors. Purchasing and Contracting

Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority procurement policy calls for the provision for fair and equitable treatment of all persons or firms involved in purchasing by Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority and assurance that supplies, services and construction are procured efficiently, effectively and at the most favorable pricing available to Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority. We promote competition in contracting and provide safeguards for maintaining a procurement system of quality and integrity. Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority maintains over 800 units of subsidized housing and as such, we purchase and warehouse items needed for the repairs, improvements and other maintenance necessary for the upkeep of those units. Some examples would be appliances, plumbing supplies, paint, landscaping equipment, electrical repair equipment and lumber. Construction and Renovation

Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority commitment to high standards of quality requires periodic renovation to our properties as the age. Specifications for these renovation projects are posted at area plan centers. Development

Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority's Development, Construction and Maintenance Department works to increase the amount of quality, affordable housing in Southeast Alaska. Developments have included special needs properties for seniors and disability clients, homes for the first-time home buyers, tax-credit financed affordable apartment buildings, and scattered sites housing that revitalize neighborhoods by providing housing for a varying range of income levels.
