About Us!

Since 1973, the Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority has worked to meet the affordable housing solution needs of individuals and families within Southeast Alaska. In that time we have provided over 800 homes for low-income families, the elderly and other qualified applicants in thirteen communities located throughout the Southeast area.

Over this past seven years, Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority has provided home loan assistance in the area of $8.5 Million to over 70 Alaska Native and American Indian first-time homebuyers and conducted over $5.5 Million in health & safety related repairs and home improvements on over 230 homes owned by tribal members thoughout the Southeast Alaska region. In the process, we employed nearly 200 local workers, which made Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority the largest employer in many of Southeast Alaska's economically depressed rural communities

Tlingit-Haida Regional Housing Authority continues to play a critical role by working closely with our twelve tribal partners in communities across Southeast Alaska to indentify the needs for affordable housing in our region, secure the funding and meet the need by providing the kind of housing solutions that are desirable and affordable within the local communities. Our various housing programs are designed tomeet the full spectrum of affordable housing needs ranging from Federally subsidized programs to conventional home loans.
